The 17th Biomedical Science Careers Student Conference took place on Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Westin Hotel Copley Place – Boston, Massachusetts. The next BSCP Conference is scheduled for April 2 and 3, 2027.
The 2025 BSCP Student Conference was nothing short of extraordinary!
This year’s event brought BSCP students and fellows from across the country back to Boston for a weekend of building confidence, connections, and community – elements critical for success in the competitive science and healthcare environments.
More than 900 students from high school through postdoctoral training came together for a day filled with inspiration, connection, and opportunity.
314 advisors, speakers, facilitators, table hosts, and volunteers generously shared their time and expertise, creating meaningful conversations, mentorship moments, and career-shaping insights.
69 BSCP alumni returned to give back, proving that the power of this network only grows stronger with time.
The energy in every room was palpable—filled with curiosity, ambition, and a deep sense of belonging. For many, the BSCP Student Conference is more than an event; it’s a turning point.
Mark your calendars! The next BSCP Student Conference will take place April 2 and 3, 2027, in Boston, MA. We can’t wait to welcome another generation of leaders ready to make their mark.
Program Highlights:
- ● Small group meetings with matched advisors
- ● Panel and small group discussions for all academic levels, from high school to postdoc!
- ● Plenary Sessions and Keynote Speakers
This event is of particular interest to high school juniors and seniors (Saturday only); college and community college students; post-baccalaureates; medical, dental, and graduate school students; and postdoctoral fellows.
The Conference offers breakout and plenary sessions; keynote speakers; small group meetings between advisors and students/fellows; networking opportunities with professionals from the biopharmaceutical industry, academia, and the National Institutes of Health; and a program featuring science resources, including fellowships, job and research opportunities, internships, and summer programs.
There are two objectives of the Biomedical Science Careers Student Conference. The primary objective is to provide over 1,000 students/fellows with an opportunity to network with advisors/role models from the basic and clinical sciences, medicine, public health, academia, and the biopharmaceutical industry. These advisors/role models will encourage students/fellows to complete advanced studies and provide concrete advice and information on available resources, professional opportunities, and career paths in biomedical and other science-related fields. The second objective is to enable student participants to meet, inspire, and network with one another.
Student participants should be seriously interested in or currently studying medicine, biomedical science, or other science-related fields, such as chemistry, physics, biology, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, biotechnology, physical therapy, public health, allied health, or environmental science.
