This Scholarship was created to support the successful transitions for:

  1. Community College students who are transferring to a four-year college/university
    2. College Students who are enrolling in a formal Postbaccalaureate program
    3. College Students and Post-baccalaureates who are transferring to Graduate School

Scholarship Benefits:

  • $25,000 will be awarded to each scholarship recipient to be used for educational purposes. Funds were dispersed over two academic years.
  • The duration of the scholarship is two years from the start date.
  • Two advising sessions will be provided by a financial professional to each recipient.
  • An advisor/support person will be assigned to each scholarship recipient for the duration of their scholarship.
  • Involvement in BSCP programs and access to resources.

 Application Criteria:

  • Students must have attended one or more of the following BSCP initiatives since 2018:
  • Biomedical Science Careers Student Conference/BSCP Virtual Connect
  • New England Science Symposium
  • Skills Workshops (Not including the Skills Workshops Webinar Series) 
  • US Resident or Green Card holder.

Required Documents for Application:

  • Personal statement including the following information:
  • Tell us who you are and what makes you an ideal candidate for this scholarship.
  • What are your major accomplishments, and why do you consider them accomplishments?
  • Why did you choose your area of study?
  • How will the scholarship help you achieve your personal goals?
  • What has been your experience as a member of the BSCP community? Why is it important that organizations like BSCP exist?
  • Two recommendations from individuals who have knowledge of students’ academic achievement, i.e., guidance counselor, teacher, professor, or mentor. These individuals will be contacted to complete the recommendation form online.
  • Most recent transcript. (Unofficial transcript is acceptable)
  • Current resume
  • Submission of proof of enrollment in a four-year college/university, post-bac program or graduate school will be required to receive the scholarship if you are selected.
