“BSCP is truly unique. It offers access to an exceptional network of mentors who are genuinely invested in the success of trainees. Their willingness to provide guidance, encouragement, and career advice creates an environment unmatched elsewhere.”
Born and raised in Nigeria, Sarah was interested in science at a young age but the 2014 Ebola outbreak is what inspired her passion for biomedical research.
She graduated from Lagos University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and a deep commitment to advancing human health. Sarah is now a Ph.D. candidate at Carnegie Mellon University where she studies how gut microbiota influence metabolism, immunity, and growth.
She is driven by a desire to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying human disease and to identify therapeutic strategies that improve human health.
